Chance 4 Children (C4C) Charity Gala and auction nets over 450.000,00 CZK (Euro 16.100) for the projects of this humanitarian organizationTo commemorate the occasion of the launch of their new 2006 calendar C4C (Chance 4 Children) hosted a gala at the Prague Crossroads venue on December the 12th 2005. The calendar was conceived by international celebrity and fine arts photographer Rossano B. Maniscalchi and layed out by his friend Robert Jasek of Graffitti Networks, Prague. Popular and well known TV personality Martina Kocianova hosted the occasion together with Nobel price nominee for Literature Arnost Lustig. The images of the calendar were auctioned off by Mr. Lustig during a silent and public auction, along with a selection of other hand signed photographs by the artist, for an incredible 375.000 CZK! An additional 75.000 CZK were raised by calendar sales and donations. The two highest scoring images, signed by former Czech President Vaclav Havel for C4C (Chance 4 Children), went to Radim Passer of Passer Invest and Serge Borenstein of Karlin Real Estate Group. Attended by some of the country’s top businessman and managers, the event which was meticulously organized by Martina Jaskova and the event management arm of Graffitti Networks, also featured the internationally famous “Bambini de Praga” children’s choir and a startling rendition of “West Side Story” performed by the children of the Bychory orphanage. Says Lech Nawara, C4C’s Vice President, “For the realization of this special evening we would like to thank all of our sponsors and partners, but especially the Zatisi Catering Group, which prepared a unique culinary experience for our guests; the Carpe Vinum company, whose sun scented wines created smiles on the faces of all those attending; Bernard Beers with their great tasting and distinguished brew and the folks from Illy Coffee, whose products kept us all up and awake until very late.” The humanitarian organization used the evening also as an opportunity to introduce and launch their new name, logo and corporate identity - Chance 4 Children - which was officially registered on December 6, 2005 to replace the old name - East European Missions. “We really feel we’ve hit the mark with our new name and corporate identity”, comments Franke, “’Chance 4 Children’ clearly outlines what we’re here for.”
