Six weeks after its launch on the 17th of May 2007, Frederik Nilsson of Malmo’s photographic exhibition in the Prague Hilton Hotel has come to its successful conclusion with 12 pictures sold. The proceeds of the first picture the young artist generously donated to Chance 4 Children (C4C).

By far the most successful exhibition in the Prague Hilton to date, Frederik’s pictures literally sold like hotcakes. „This truly was a great success, especially since this was my first exhibit in Prague“, says smiling Frederik. The 29 year old artists has developed a unique technique of „in-between photography“, treating his black and white works with natural substances like coffee or tea, giving his images a paint like quality.

Encouraged by the attention the exhibit commanded, Frederik and his friend and agent, Bernd Proske, of Proske Group, a successful German-based event management firm, are already looking into the future. „We are very happy to have contributed to the worthwhile projects of Chance 4 Children with this fantastic exhibit“, says Bernd Proske. „Perhaps we can repeat this in an even bigger way for Christmas here at the Hilton.“

In step with the Prague Hilton’s tradition of highlighting charitable causes during the Christmas season, Proske and Marketa Sebkova, the Hilton’s Marketing Manager, are already planning tentatively on another exhibit during the Christmas season. „This time around we could do it perhaps in conjunction with an auction of three of Frederiks’s pictures for the benefit of Chance 4 Children“, comments Proske. „This way we can contribute in an even more robust way to the wonderful and important work of C4C!“

The list of the Hilton’s charitable contributions during the Christmas season is impressive, highlighting the hotel’s commitment to benevolent causes during the festive season. Besides hosting the successful Christmas Bazaar, arranged annually by the Diplomatic Lady’s Association, the hotel also organizes each year their high-profile Christmas Charity Concert, featuring Paul Freeman, the charismatic and world-renowned Maestro of the Czech National Symphony and the Chicago Sinfonietta Orchestras. The proceeds of the concerts, which is attended by over 1200 visitors annually, has each year been graciously donated to Chance 4 Children by the management of the hotel. (Read more about it here)
