News & Media Newsbox 28.01.2015 Austrian Ball 2015 honors C4C's efforts in support of children in need and at risk in the Czech Republic...  ..and highlights longtime supporter Copy General for "walking the walk" with C4C for a full decade, contributing over 2.000.000,00 CZK toward helping C4C's humanitarian efforts in this country. It was a traditional Austrian Ball in the classical Viennese tradition, celebrated in Prague's magnificent Zofin venue, replete with passionate ball room dancing, the Czech National Symphony playing and with the Austrian Ambassador, His Excellency Count Ferdinand von und zu Trauttmansdorff-Weinsberg and wife, in attendance as well. "We chose C4C to be our "Charity of the Year" because of the tremendous difference this team makes in the lives of literally thousands of children, be it in the realm of educational or humanitarian assistance", comments Dr. Erwin Hanslik, president of the association of Austrians living in the Czech Republic, the organizers of the annual gala event. (www.voet.cz ) Come midnight, the stage was given to Manfred Franke, C4C's founder and chairman and Roman Petr, CEO of Copy General, who used the occasion to pass over a symbolic check of 2 million CZK to C4C. "I have known Manfred and his team for over 10 years now, and if there is something that can be said about them it is that they are effective, operate wisely and are innovative enough to venture out and treat where others dare not go - they're great", said Roman, cementing this long time partnership by passing the check to Manfred. "Fundraising is really one of the biggest challenges every NGO faces on a regular basis", explains Manfred afterwards. "It's a bit like pulling teeth, almost a necessary evil! Sponsors come and sponsors go, but there are few like Copy General and Roman, who just give for giving's sake and expect nothing in return. If it wasn't for companies and folks like them we would certainly not be where we are at today!" C4C is proud to have been able to attract a roaster of formidable and reputable sponsors for their admirable work, many of them supporting the organization for over 10 years as well.
